FLY FISHING CHAMPIONSHIP

The International Sport Fly Fishing Federation FIPS-Mouche has chosen NORWAY throughout NKFF (Norwegian Federation Of Competition Fly Fishers) to host the 5th FIPS Mouche World LADIES Fly Fishing Championship 2026 in Åkrestrømmen in NORWAY, that will be held from 27th July – 2nd August 2026 in the region of Innlandet with the host municipalities of Stor-Elvdal, Rendalen and Engerdal. The region is surrounded by forests, mountains, rivers, lakes, and lots of wildlife. It’s an area of lots of culture and long traditions of the Norwegian people. NKFF organized the 1st FIPS-Mouche World Ladies Fly Fishing Championship and the 26th FIPS-Mouche European Fly Fishing Championship in beginning of July 2022 in this region with host municipalities of Stor-Elvdal and Rendalen. For these Championships, you will fish the following river sectors: Atna, Glomma, Femundselva and lake sectors in Storsjøen and Galtsjøen.

It is a great honor, on behalf of NKFF, to welcome you all to the 5th WLFFC and 11th WMFFC in Stor-Elvdal municipality, Rendalen municipality and Engerdal municipality. We are very excited to be back with two championships in these incredibly beautiful nature and fish-rich areas. We hope that all those who have come here will experience the hospitality, the beautiful nature and the fantastic fishing at its very best. I am sure that it will be a top-level event, in which sport, technique and respect for the environment and not least for the fish will intertwine in good quality. To carry out these two championships, we are completely dependent on cooperation with politicians, sponsors, landowners, local populations and local hunting and fishing associations. So, thank you very much to all of you for helping to make this into unforgettable and fantastic days for all participants including friends and family. We would also like to thank FIPS-Mouche for their trust in us, organizing new championships in Norway.

Dear Fly Fishing Ladies, Fly Fishing Fellows and Guests and Friends!
On behalf of the Norwegian Fly Fishing Federation (NKFF) and the organizing committee for the 5th FIPS-Mouche World Ladies Fly Fishing Championship (WLFFC), we would like to invite you all to come and discover the beauty of Norway! The championships will be held from 27th July – 2nd August 2026 in the region of Innlandet with the host municipalities of Stor-Elvdal, Rendalen and Engerdal. The region is surrounded by forests, mountains, rivers, lakes, and lots of wildlife. It’s an area of lots of culture and long traditions of the Norwegian people. We hope you will catch a lot of beautiful memories from your visit. The Secretary of the 5th WLFFC will be in Årkestrømmen. Accommodation for the participants of the 5th WLFFC will be in Åkrestrømmen. For the Championship, you will fish the following river sectors: Atna, Glomma, Femundselva (Trysilelva) and lake sectors in Storsjøen and Galtsjøen. We are proud to host the the 5th FIPS-Mouche WLFFC. We ensure that the championship to be held in a friendly and pleasant atmosphere, conducted in accordance with the Olympic ideal.
