This is to inform you about the change of Rule Modification to adopt the fish measuring protocol to be used at the upcoming youth and ladies championships in USA. This change does correlate with a recently approved round up measuring system that will take into effect in Competition rules from 2026 on. This update has no impact on team or individual preparations for the event and is consistent with the effort to increase fish safety.
Article 20: Controllers
20.2. Change: 20.2. Controllers will be responsible and accountable for accurately recording on the competitor’s scorecard (FIPS-Mouche approved template shall be used) details of each eligible fish, including the length in centimetres over the minimal size limit (20 cm – red area) and the time of capture. If the length of the fish falls within the colored area, the size of the fish is rounded up to the next centimetres. Measuring gutter will be provided in centimetres see below:
